Caithness Countryside Volunteers

Pixie Village – November ’08

We met in the Seadrift Centre at Dunnet this month (Sat 22nd) to make some pixie houses. A slight departure from our usual type of event but was quite good fun once we got into it! An indoor event was certainly fitting for a cold, snowy day. The houses are going to be used for a Caithness Critters event in January when they will be placed around Dunnet forest. The Critters will be taken around the forest to see if they can spot signs of some of some smaller and more mysterious forest dwellers, and told about the sort of things that people used to believe about the existence of fairies and similar beings.
